HOME ASSESSMENT

A CAPS assessment is the first step to determine if a home needs any modifications to be safe for aging-in-place. The 12-page checklist we use starts at the entrance and evaluates every aspect of the home all the way to the back of the property. Whatever risks exist are identified as well as highlighting what changes should be considered to improve the livability of the home. Every assessment includes a detailed written report of our findings and a one-on-one meeting with the home owner to answer any questions and explain any suggestions for modifications.

HOME MODIFICATION

Deciding to stay in your home for as long as possible often includes the decision to make some necessary modifications to your home. The challenge can come when trying to find a qualified contractor or handyman who can implement these modifications. Good news, we have vetted several contractors who we know have the experience and skill to implement these modifications. It is important that the modifications are done by professionals who understand aging-in-place criteria.

SMART HOME TECHNOLOGY

Helping home-owners adopt “smart” technology in their homes goes a long way to improving the comfort and quality of day-to-day living. We work with our clients to identify what technology, if any, can improve their life. But, we don’t stop there. With all of our technology packages we include in-depth training. In other words, we don’t leave until the home-owner is comfortable with the solution.

Service Packages

Basic Package 1

  • Home accessibility and livability analysis and detailed report.
  • Installation of (2) grab bars in bath(s).
  • Furnish and install entry ramp for exterior entrance door.
  • Provide 10 hours of non-medical health care per week.
  • Provide 10 meals delivered to home per week.
  • Furnish and install a mesh router system.
  • Furnish and install Alexa Show and 1 interior camera.

Basic Package 2

Includes all items in Basic Package 1 above plus:

  • Replace 1 water closet with a right height unit
  • Furnish and install (1) additional interior camera.
  • Furnish and install motion activated hallway lighting.

Advanced package

Includes all items in Basic Package 2 plus:

  • Replace (1) additional water closet with a right height unit.
  • Furnish and install (1) exterior camera.
  • Furnish and install motion activated bathroom lighting.
  • Furnish a Mobile Medical Alert device and provide monitoring.

Adult Children Package

Includes all items in Advanced Package plus:

  • Furnish a 2nd Alexa Show for offsite location without installation*.
  • Furnish and install a garage door monitor and control system.
